you know, it s hard to believe it would be shot down as an enemy aircraft unless for some reason, we come back to the electronic portion of malaysia airlines and the way they identify their aircraft, unless for some reason its electronics was squawking the wrong meaning sending out the wrong code, that it didn t appear to be a civilian commercial scheduled aircraft on somebody, these are russian or ukraine radar, so that can be the only thing that jumps to my mind about why this plane could have been mistaken for an enemy aircraft or if it was simply an errant heat seeking missile would have gone for the two engines on the 777. this addresses one of the issues that pops to mind when we look at the geography. we re told by reuters this plane went down between ukraine and russia, hostilities going on right now in eastern part of ukraine and russia involved. one of the questions, you wonder is, is it possible this flight
heat up water to 1,000 degrees and create steam that would create energy. what could possibly go wrong with that? steve? i ve been watching this project for years and i ve always thought maybe it was designed by some college engineering students who dropped acid and then came up with an idea for a science project. i mean, this is wild stuff. and you re right, the california department of energy put together a $667 page report about this plant and said yes, it essentially could barbecue birds and the heat generated by this thing could actually create turbulence that could toss airplanes but they said, now ready for this, steve? they said the benefits outweigh the risks. this is green madness. it s everything i talk about in eco-tyranny. it defies the imagination. the other thing is there is a worry apparently with all that heat, it could attract a heat seeking missile. now, before we go any further, brightsource that is building this thing, here s their response.
a possible breakthrough. this is huge news. it s a drug cocktail that seems to be as effective as chemo but without some of those awful side effects. abc s john schriffen introduces us to a woman alive because of it. reporter: this is a big step for 28-year-old bridget spencer. exercising, feeling better than ever, trying to put the last seven years behind her. just a week after graduating from college, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. i had had 7 surgeries, 32 rounds of radiation and i had been on 14 different drugs. reporter: but the cancer grew through the chemo spreading to her liver, lung and bones. desperate, she turned to a drug trial. she had a more powerful cocktail called t-dm1. it s like a heat seeking missile with a toxic payload. travels all over the body until it meets the cancer cell and then lets off a massively toxic dose to kill off the cancer without damaging the rest of the body.
certainly is helicopter that s landing close in proximity to enemy force social security vulnerable to enemy small arms fire and specifically rocket po ped grenades and a lucky shot could be adequate to bring down that helicopter. we had that sort of experience in somalia with black hawk down, the famous episode in 1983, the technology hasn t changed that much either with the helicopters or the rocket propelled grenade. it s not an easy shot if you re the insurgent but it s not impossible, and therefore i don t draw any conclusions yet and certainly whether or not this foretells a strengthening insurgency. unfortunately the insurgency has proven its itself resilient regardless. i m not going to draw conclusions from this tragic incident. jon: there are reports there may have been night vision equipment involved, even if they didn t have a heat seeking missile to shoot this helicopter down, there may have been a pair of night vision goggles that could have come with help from iran.
that meeting. how does he separate himself? in terms of the calendar, the only one of the big three competing strenuously. if he can hold off michelle bachmann, that gives him a pathway to viability. his niche is people know him and like him in the party. he is seen clear, the people that don t know huntsman see him as alternative to romney if they have misgivings. it s a tough path. seems like a good guy. he is and has a great family and probably has as much fire in the belly as anyone. you game change and look for this function as a heat seeking missile and write wonderful chapters about him. tim pawlenty, i get a feeling that s a page or two. they seem to be very good decent people. they are good decent people.
