ARN s iHeartRadio launches Michael Gudinski tribute station

The station features all the music Gudinski championed over his career, including tracks from the artists on his label and those who toured with his company, Frontier. iHeartRadio Australia’s content director, Brett ‘Nozz’ Nossiter, said Gudinski was a giant of the music industry, a larger-than-life personality, and an inspiration to many. “Many of us at ARN had a close working and personal relationship with the great man – and everyone has classic anecdote to share about their time with MG. When we heard the news about his passing, we immediately wanted to pay tribute to him and the pop up iHeartRadio station is part of how we are remembering his incredible contribution to music, touring, and support for Australian artists,” he said.

iHeartRadio Australia on the hunt for music director and programmer Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) iHeartRadio Australia platform is recruiting a music director and programmer. The role was previously occupied by Miranda Boyce, and the recruitment process comes alongside a series of changes at the platform. Then today, it was announced Corey Layton would absorb additional responsibilities for the platform. Layton had been head of commercial audio and podcasts, which included the iHeartPodcast Network Australia. From today, he will be head of digital audio, which includes the wider iHeartRadio and podcasting strategy. The vacant iHeartRadio Australia music director and programmer role will report into content director Brett ‘Nozz’ Nossiter.

Loop Media takes Scooter Braun stake in Aussie radio exec’s EON Media Group Image: EON Media Group CEO Rob Graham US shortform video specialist Loop Media has taken a 20% stake in Australian music and media executive Rob Graham’s EON Media Group. Loop acquired the stake as part of an investment from super-artist manager and entrepreneur Scott “Scooter” Braun’s Ithaca Holdings, a fully-integrated holding company with interests across music, tech, film, television, brands and culture. The media and entertainment company EON is based in Singapore. Its flagship English-language three-hour syndicated weekly chart show Asia Pop 40, which debuted in Australia in 2015 on iHeartRadio Australia, is now aired in over 100 markets and reaches over one billion people in the Middle East, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
