It s finally here, the start of the 2021 Cajun Heartland State Fair. The festival grounds will open today at 5:00 pm, and for the next 11 days, we can all enjoy the rides, games, food, and more.
And new to the State Fair this year is the addition of the Cajun Heartland Music Festival inside the Cajundome.
The party gets kicked off tonight with legendary country group Diamond Rio along with guests Lainey Wilson and Blaine Roy.

The Cajun Heartland State Fair has announced they have received the go ahead to let the Go Go and Fun Fun fly for 2021!
In a press release sent out today, The Cajun Heartland State Fair has announced they have received approval by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Louisiana Department of Health to proceed with this year s events.
The Cajun Heartland State Fair 2021 will look a bit different than what we re used to. Organizers say there will be numerous sanitizing stations available throughout the fair and social distancing protocols will be in place. Face masks will also be required to enter and while on the fair grounds except while eating or drinking.

The Cajundome has announced that the Cajun Heartland State Fair will return on May 27 through June 6, 2021
The Cajundome says that after review by the Louisiana State Fire Marshalâs Office and the Louisiana Department of Health, the CAJUNDOMEâs Open Safely Plan has been approved to execute the 2021 Cajun Heartland State Fair.
The fair will take place from May 27 â June 6, 2021.
With new sanitizations and social distancing protocols in place, The Cajundome says the CHSF will look a little different but will still have the entertainment line-up and ride offerings that fans enjoy year after year.
