You have heard about it at commission several times at this point. Unfortunately it was not heard at land use yesterday. It will be heard on monday, the 17th. We are very hopeful i it will passthrough land use this time around. It seems as the person managing this project worked well alongside with the Land Use Committee to address any of their concerns
Good afternoon, supervisors and i think you know that we couldnt agree more with this being really a horrible situation and no good situation for anyone other than its one of the dwellings we have for people. I wanted to talk about if its okay. Ill start with one of the questions i was going to tell you about the s r o hotels and how were able to approach them. So, you know, about our direct access to Housing Program 36 buildings, 17 hundred units many of them are one hundred percent Affordable Housing sites that supervisor wiener was talking about earlier, however, 6 of those are not leased and their s r o hotels. Weve been able to do with the s r o hotels it shows how having more control over a building but overlooking its the price tag. I thoroughly agree virtually everyone that everyone has said with other people i want to encourage the city to find funding be for direct grants or whatever to help the landlords of the hotels get the elevators needed repairs as is or upgraded ill leave that to the dbi or osha to decide that. Ill a make a couple of points one is that as the lady said not everyone a on a Residential Hotel is there because of some kind of city or Government Program there are a number of city programs yes and federally funded programs like oh, shelter care by the way, there are a lot of people in Residential Hotels as was said thats their rent controlled home this is the one problem with saying lets put all the fellowship disabled people detain tlais because theyve lose their rent control we need the basic funding for all the hotels, you know, for the elevator repair thank you very much next speaker. Good afternoon supervisors. Thank you very much supervisor kim supervisor wiener a
Agree because the Building Code they require the elevator to serve the resident whatever they need to find my agreement i they cant head to the commission elevator theyve noting got to fix it and get recommendation to fix. More conversation with the state and city because theres something, you know, a conversation what we say before next monday if the recommendation and then you know from the, you know, i dont want to go through all the we go through the, you know, committee with the study group. You know, we brainstorming i think about the chief inspector rose mar we got to create an Insurance Program with all the, you know, Elevator Service companies. Maybe come up with something, you know, they can Work Together with the city to service those elevator weve got maintenance inspectors because most of the elevators left of the inspection thats why they have the problem before, you know, they can inspect before the problem occur im from all the evidence because this Community Try to fin
