Volkswagen says preparations for the start of production of its ID.4 EV in 2022 are in progress at its Emden plant. In fact the company says Emden should be ready to go in the first half of 2022. More models will be added in 2023. Back in November we reported that Volkswagen would be setting aside more plants for EV production in the coming decade, converting two existing plants in Hanover and Emden in Germany to EV production.
