WHEELING Wheeling Heritage has announced today that 34 Wheeling businesses have received assistance through its latest Small Business COVID Support Partnership Grant.
In total, $64,000 in funds were given to Wheeling small businesses, made possible through CARES Act and Wheeling Heritage funding.
Based on need and desired use of funding, awards ranged from $900 to $4,000
Those receiving funding included Airport Limousine Service, Attention to Detail, Braun’s Custom Framing, Bridge Tavern and Grill, Bullfrogs and Butterflies, Cirque de Cheveux and Clientele Art Studio.
East Wheeling Clayworks received an award, as did Edgington Studio LLC, Empress Emporium, Gypsy Lace Cafe, Healthy Vibes for You, High Grade Audio, Honeycomb Salon, Island Mould & Machine Co., Later Alligator, Making Magic LLC and Nail City Record.

PLYMOUTH – In January, Zoning Board of Appeals member Michael “Buster” Main and his wife, former Conservation Commission Chairman Gerry Hooker, known affectionately as Sweetpea, recounted how Pinehills Managing Partner Tony Green took the high road and responded to criticism of a lack of affordable housing with a wonderful offer. Ten years ago, they said Green and Pinehills President John Judge asked if Main would get involved in The Pinehills LLC trust dedicated to providing funding for affordable housing. The Pinehills Affordable Housing Charitable Trust was born and Main served on its board of directors. Green and Judge, as well as developer Tom Wallace, put their heads together to dedicate funds and raise money for 19 affordable homes for the homeless, veterans and those who simply couldn’t afford a home otherwise.
