LOUISVILLE, Ky. The Louisville area and a good chunk of Kentucky and Southern Indiana received more snow overnight, but the end of the freezing, wintry weather is in sight.
During this third winter storm in the past eight days, 2.2 inches of snow fell overnight at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service s office on Theiler Lane in southern Jefferson County saw 2.3 inches of fresh snow, while Kentucky s second-biggest city, Lexington, saw 1.4 inches, meteorologist Ron Steve said.
Higher amounts of new accumulation were reported south of Louisville and Lexington, with Bowling Green seeing 2.9 inches as of midnight Thursday and some reports of at least 4 inches in Glasgow, Campbellsville and other parts of south-central Kentucky, Steve said.
