Healthwatch Rochdale wins contract to deliver local Maternity Voices Partnership in Rochdale and Oldham Date published: 25 April 2021 Healthwatch Rochdale Healthwatch Rochdale has been successful in winning a contract to deliver the local Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) in Rochdale and Oldham, supported in the project by Healthwatch Oldham. The MVP is an NHS partnership group which includes women and their families who use maternity services and commissioners and providers (midwives and doctors). The aim of the MVP is to ensure that those who use maternity services get a chance to have their say about the care they are receiving. This feedback is then used to help shape and improve future service.

A new online forum has been launched by Healthwatch Rochdale, the borough s independent healthcare watchdog. Named ‘An audience with….’ the forum will be a monthly information session and will include guest speakers from local services and statutory organisations. The first forum will be An Audience with Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services and guest speakers will include Charlotte Mitchell, Head of Commissioning (Children’s and Maternity) at Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group, Jennifer O’Neill, Pathway Lead for #Thrive and Dez Wilson, Service Integration Officer for Kooth. The forum will take place via Zoom on Thursday 15 April 6.30pm – 7.45pm.
