been told about this law have been debunked. there are still to death panels. armageddon has not arrived. instead this law is helping millions of americans and in coming years it will help millions more. i ve said before, i will always work with anyone who is willing to make this law even better. but the debate over repealing this law is over. the affordable care act is here to stay. reporter: now what made a difference that last minute rush of consumers on to healthercare.gov helped a lot including all those people who called into the call centers, wolf. keep in mind white house officials are saying those viral videos like the ones starring the celebrity endorsement, that drove people to healthercare.gov and one other thing to keep in
their insurance. we have so few facts to figure out what s going on. actually we do. 85% have already paid for their coverage. do you know who they are? are they young. yes. the white house has not been that great at giving us these figures. we ll have all of these figures out months ahead of the election. and i think you ll see that people are signing up. we have a large number of young people according to many studies. not going to be an increase. we won t know anything about it negative or positive until all the numbers are out and there s people have another week to sign up. i hope they do. healthercare.gov. a couple of realities. this is a country of about 315 million people. 5 million signed up. 210 million people outside of the system for a variety of reasons. they have insurance. 85% of americans have insurance. my point is you have not significantly decreased the number of people without
the federal exchanges that is sort of the healthercare.gov website, 137,200 people enrolled in the state exchanges that s 14 different states that have their own health care exchanges. as you can see still out distancing the federal exchange, 227,478. the bottom line, of course, is that the federal website is now beginning to catch up. let s look now at october versus november. october enrolent was 26,794. of course that cre so much concern bause those numbers are so lo you lk tovembe enllntno110,410 people. clearly some improvement in obama care and the numbers of peoplenrolng b t magic number is 7 million and they detame.i tt a togo.
