OLYMPIA, Wash. Ahead of the June 30 reopening date, Gov. Jay Inslee made a statement on Tuesday about the progress the state has made in the effort against the pandemic, while urging people to continue getting vaccinated. Inslee said the state has come a long way since the first COVID-19 case was confirmed back in January 2020, adding that is in “no small part due to Washingtonians’ dedication and resilience in protecting themselves and their communities through the pandemic.”
