Montana on Friday added 149 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the state s total active cases to 853.
Cascade County still leads the state in terms of active cases. The county has 198 active cases, 8,875 recoveries and 170 deaths from the virus. Yellowstone County has the next highest number of active cases with 149. About 37% of eligible Cascade County residents have been fully vaccinated, compared to about 42% of eligible Montanans who have been fully vaccinated. About 23% of the state s active cases are listed in Cascade County.
Great Falls Public Schools as of Thursday reported 18 active cases districtwide. North Middle School reported four active cases.
Benefis Health System is holding multiple vaccination clinics, available to anyone ages 12 and older. People can visit www.benefis.org/familyvaccine to make an appointment. The clinics are held June 3 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., June 8 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 9 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and June 10 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
