The appointed staff nurse will work predominantly in the child’s own home within the Western Trust but will also be required to work in the Children’s IPU.
They will participate in the assessment, planning and delivery of care to the children and the delegation of care to non-registered members of the care team promoting a philosophy of holistic care and active engagement of children and families.
The role will include both day and night duty.
The successful candidate will regularly report to and work under the direction of the Children’s Hospice Nurse Specialist Team Lead when working with the Community and Care Team Manager, ensuring that all aspects of care are carried out to the agreed standards and in accordance with all current policies and procedures of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
