KUWAIT CITY, June 24: The World Health Organisation (WHO) commended on Thursday the Kuwaiti government’s COVID-19 vaccination arrangements as operating under the “highest safety standards.” “I am genuinely impressed with the efficient organisation of the vaccination centers and commitment of the staff,” WHO representative in Kuwait Dr Assad Hafeez said during a visit to two such facilities, accompanied by another two regional WHO officials. “I am thankful for their help in vaccination while applying the highest level of professionalism to ensure the safety and efficacy of vaccines,” added Dr Hafeez in a statement by WHO.

KUWAIT CITY, April 5: Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basil Al-Sabah has authorized the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr Mustafa Redha to disburse excellent performance bonuses to employees nominated by their direct leaders in the ministry, reports Al-Anba daily. He approved the regulations for the disbursement of excellent performance bonuses, so that the service period of the employee nominated for the bonus is not less than a year starting from January 1, 2020 until December 31, 2020 within the Ministry of Health.
According to the regulations, the employee must receive an “excellent” grade in the appraisal of 2020. The employee has not been subjected to disciplinary actions during the year 2020. The employee has not exceeded the period of sick leave beyond 15 days during the year 2020 except for hospitalization. ‘Drugs must be registered and priced by ministry’
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Drug and Food Control Affairs, Dr Abdullah Al-Badr, announced the issuance of a decision by the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basil Al-Sabah to organize the sale of drugs which must be registered and priced in line with the latest Gulf and international standards.
Dr Al-Badr said in a press statement the new decision restricts the sale of medicine by pharmacies unless the medicine is registered and priced by the Ministry of Health, and the price written on it in Kuwaiti dinars in a clear and prominent place.
