I would like to introduce the first session which is entitled bullying trends where we have been, where we are now and where we are going. We have three excellent speakers for the session. First up is mr. Tom snyder from the department of education. He is the director of annual reports and information staff at the National Center for Education Statistics and is a recognized expert on Education Statistics. Many of the things i am going to talk about to you today you may be familiar with and certainly working with bullying there are many things you are well aware of from your own observations. I think there is something here for everybody that is going to be some new things that we can talk about. There is a lot of new sources coming out with bullying data. There are new sources that you can take advantage of that may be usefu
I was on a panel with denise and dewey corp nel where we talked about a school perspective. This is where the body of literature is the largest, i would like to say the strongest but there are still a lot of gaps in this particular area. Denise talked a lot about school climate. I was happy to hear that was picked up in the themes today and talked about legal issues and policies and zero tolerance and some of the reactive approaches that schools often take about video cameras and metal detectors. We dont have research to show they have a strong impact on reducing bullying. I spoke about meta analysis and research about particular programs. I had this graphic in my talk about is the Glass Half Full or half empty . You can view it in terms of the review of literature. Some programs can reduce bullying. However, some of the studies are done abroad and may not generalize very well to the United States or are limited to certain outcomes. So while it is exciting to see there is evidence base

The first phase involves collecting the data from the existing taxi equipment in real time. The second phase involves taking that data and executing vehicle assignments in response to ehills in real time on a testing basis. And then the third and final phase involves connecting that information to a licensed thirdparty apps. Weve been working with the City Attorneys Office on drafting the license agreement for those apps. The basic terms of those apps agreements are something that weve been in discussion with the apps themselves for quite sometime now. And as Additional App providers come into our awareness, weve been sharing it with them and collecting their comments as well. So, currently the good news is that we are actively testing the Realtime Data collection with 10 Wireless Edge vehicles. The super good news is that we are able to and Exchange Data in real time on the vehicle status or hired, and not hired and where it is. So far all of that has been very positive the fact that
