City Council to allocate UAH 140M for vaccination of Kyiv residents â Klitschko

The Kyiv City Council is planning to allocate UAH 140 million in budget funds for vaccination of Kyiv residents.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this at a briefing on February 3, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. At the next meeting of the Kyiv City Council on February 11, we’re planning to amend the city s target program ‘Health of Kyiv’ for 2020-2022 and allocate UAH 140 million for COVID-19 vaccination in the capital, he said.
According to Klitschko, the heads of Kyiv healthcare facilities have been already instructed to set up special vaccination sites and mobile medical teams.

Klitschko clarified the local authorities were in talks with several U.S. and European companies producing vaccines against the coronavirus.
According to the mayor, the capital city has prepared infrastructure for vaccination: there is equipment for storing vaccines, vaccination rooms, while specialists will undergo the relevant training.
