COVID-19 vaccinations in Alabama state veterans homes starting Tuesday

The immunizations with the Pfizer vaccine start Tuesday at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City.
The immunizations will continue over the next two weeks:
Dec. 31 at the Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville.
Jan. 7 at the William F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette.
Jan. 11 at the Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home in Pell City.
“For several weeks our health care team has worked with the Alabama Department of Public Health in scheduling the vaccinations for our veteran-residents and staff,” ADVA Commissioner Kent Davis said in a press release. “Our medical staff at the state veterans homes is prepared to administer the first and subsequent rounds of the vaccine beginning tomorrow.”
