And Line said people who lost homes aren’t the only ones impacted by the tragedy.
“There were a lot of folks impacted and I think this fire impacted all of us in the community whether you were an evacuee, whether you lost a home, whether you were a first responder, whether you were somebody who helped work at the disaster response center… I think the effects of the whole experience are traumatic for everyone involved,” she said.
The Grand Foundation, a nonprofit in Grand County which has raised money for wildfire relief gave Mind Springs Health, the county’s primary mental health provider $20,000 for counseling for anyone impacted by the fire. Line said the money will pay for five free sessions for anyone impacted by the fires.
