Pause on Johnson & Johnson vaccine not expected to impact Ottawa County Health department primarily using doses made by Moderna Thus far, the Ottawa County Health Department has primarily been using the Moderna vaccine, which has been based on allocations made at the state level.  “This news, while disappointing, it’s certainly not going to affect what we do here in Ottawa County,” said Health Commissioner Jerry Bingham.  In early March, the health department hosted a joint clinic with Magruder Hospital where around 500 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine were delivered. However, no adverse reactions were reported from that clinic.  “We are not aware of any adverse reactions to any of our vaccines that we’ve administered,” Bingham said.
