Ohio is slated to get about 250,000 doses. The challenge: there are about 370,000 children in that age group in the state, and some areas have few places to get vaccines.
From staff reports
Hamilton County s Norwood vaccination clinic is no longer requiring reservations. Meanwhile, UC Health s drive-in clinic in Corryville will patients without reservations on Tuesday.
The county health department last week ran a test of a “no-appointment clinic and it was an overwhelming success,” said county Health Commissioner Greg Kesterman. “Offering no-appointment clinics should capture some of the folks who have waited to schedule their vaccine. The more people we can get vaccinated, the closer we get to resuming our normal activities for the summer, Kesterman said in a news release.
The county s walk-up clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. It s at the county s early voting site at 2200 Wall St.
