WAREHAM - After weeks with no COVID cases, the latest tally as of July 17 was 13 new cases, and six probable from a cluster in Onset.
Wareham Public Health Director Patrick MacDonald said the town was working with the state Department of Public Health on contact tracing.
He said they hoped to be able to confine the outbreak to the one cluster.
The first person to test positive didn’t know where they had possibly picked it up, he said in response to Health Board Chair Amy Wiegandt’s question as to whether it initially came from a person from out of state.
