And i guess id like to start off by talking about our process and where we are in the process and then we will go into the substance of this presentation. So, the department of aging and Adult Services is of course part of the Human Services agency. And the Human Services agency has within it a sort of a large support staff area. It does a number of things, but one of the things we do is we develop the budget for the agency, of course, we do that in cooperation with Shireen Mcspadden and Deputy Directors like cindy and joe, and Program Directors throughout the agency. And we do it with a budget staff and emily gibb and tiffany wong are two of the members who have worked on the daa is budget this year. We reach out to the Program Offices throughout the agency to ask them to identify areas of new need, changing regulation, changing law. Changes in the patterns of consumption of services. We will actually be following the panel. You may wonder why we have the governor speaking after us. The answer is travel considerations. Fortunately although this panel is not obligated to confine their remarks to the governors proposal the governors did put out a letter last week that is really quite easy to summarize. Radar and satellite shows us we have clouds lingering right off the coastline here, thats because jose, whats left of it, no longer a named system, but we still have some clouds, a little moisture but its way out to sea. Some of that cloud deck hanging along the shoreline. Everyone else clear as can be for us and thats going to be the case today, sunny to mostly sunny conditions. So now were talking about Hurricane Maria. Still a category 3 hurricane. You can see its now moving to the north of the bahamas. But now its going to begin its trek along the east coast.
