Noida: The state government is all set to install ‘Health ATMs’ across all districts as part of its electronic-primary health centres (e-PHCs) project.
These ATMs are machines through which patients can interact remotely with doctors, officials said, adding that a single machine can do nearly 60 diagnostic tests and dispense medicines free of cost. Nearly 150 such machines have already been supplied across the state and several others are expected to be set up in the next few months.
“Several important services can reach residents with better use of technology. Installing the ATMs at health centres, especially in rural areas, can help strengthen medical facilities in the state. We will be asking the department to also start training technicians on operating these machines at the earliest,” said CM Yogi Adityanath.
