Thats true. It does take care of the poor, but it also takes care of nursing home care for people who worked all their lives and just dont have enough. Its 9,000 a month in the state of hawaii for nursing home care. Its more than that for hospice care. We all know, nobody escapes endofflife care. Rich or poor, left or right, red, blue, purple, nobody escapes this part of your life. And Everybody Needs help. There might be a few people who save up enough cash money to be able to shell out 10,000 a month for that kind of care, but for the rest of us, medicaid is that lifeline. Bay. Police investigating a shooting in hayward. It happened early this morning near the intersection of ocean view and apple. You can see bullet holes in the house and in the car there. There were reports a vehicle drove by and opened fire. Were working to confirm details with investigators. Hayward police have confirmed there was one victim in the shooting. It is not clear if the person was seriously hurt. A brentwood pet boarding facility faces serious questions and even possible legal action following the death of a dog in its care.
