the appalachians into kentucky currently. as i mentioned, there s two pieces of the storm. the first is heading north. light snow is falling in areas of central pennsylvania, from d.c. south ward. now it s changed to rain. in new jersey it s rain. this is not the snowstorm. this is just a wintry mix throughout the day today. the snowstorm is actually back here in areas of tennessee. it s now snowing in nashville and areas of kentucky. they re getting snow, too. and as that heads east, we ll have the issues. so the first piece of the storm, you can notice the temperature. this blue line is the 32-degree line. it s very warm right now. almost all of i-95 is above freezing. that s why those roads are not going to have probably any issues whatsoever today. your morning commute should be okay. secondary roads, possibly bridge and overpasses maybe a little slippery. again, during the day today, just the windshield wipers will be needed. when this area of snow, now on the back side near nashv
we re talking travel, too. the wind causes travel delays. jfk, did you hear about the runway issue? they are shutting one down for a few months for repairs. for repairs. they say they will get 10,000 more flights on time because of this. but not for a mu months. right. another thing is the storm system across parts of the south. just showing you temperatures for people without power. this is an upper level low. this is not snow. if dallas gets more snow, people will leave dallas. i know. the eighth coldest winter on record for dallas. unfortunately, see this, yeah, they might have mixing but no accumulation. that s good news for dallas. heavy rains ahead of it. there could be flash flooding potentially into the lower mississippi river valley. as this heads east it will be pushed a bit by high pressure pulling in the cold air. we are going to get snow.
