With COVID cases climbing in town, Schools Superintendent John Buckey has announced that Marblehead students will go fully remote one week before and one week after Christmas break.
“This decision is rooted in the anticipation that numbers in town will likely continue to rise, as they have been, and in the idea that we want to give teachers adequate time to plan lessons ahead of breaking for the holidays,” Buckey wrote in a letter to parents Monday, Dec. 14.
The fully remote schedule will begin Monday, Dec. 21. After vacation, students will continue fully remote Jan. 4-8.
