Former Kirkland Lake Gold Miner Jackson Grozelle will continue his hockey journey in the NCAA.
Grozelle has committed to King’s College, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The 20 year-old defenceman, will join the Monarchs D-III hockey program for the 21-22 school year.

The 6’1” 200 defenceman spent last season with the Miners, then when their season was cut short, due to COVID considerations, he finished up with the Cochrane Crunch.
Grozelle joins a Monarchs squad, who also sat out last season, due to COVID, led by Head Coach Tom Seravalli. The Middle Atlantic Conference team also features former KL defenceman Nick Richards.

Ely routs Lakeview Christian to rebound after losses Posted

ELY- The Timberwolves came off of a two-game losing streak, beating Lakeview Christian in a blowout, 88-56, at home on Tuesday night.
The Wolves led 44-32 at the half and never looked back. “We played a bit better defensively in the second half. It was nice to play well after struggling on Monday night on both ends,” said Head Coach Tom McDonald.
Emmett Faltesek, senior guard, led with 26 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Sophomore Joey Bianco had 16 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. Junior guard Harry Simons collected 16 points and senior Will Davies had 13.
