Maryland reports lowest number of new COVID cases since March 2020

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) Maryland is reporting its lowest number of new coronavirus cases since March 30, 2020.       According to the governor, the state’s 7-day positivity rate, at 2.51%, has matched its lowest level on record.    “From the very beginning of this crisis, we Marylanders truly have been all in this fight together,” said Gov. Hogan. “Today’s key health metrics show that, after a long, hard-fought battle, we are nearing the end of this pandemic as we finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Those who have not yet been vaccinated are strongly advised to immediately do so. The easiest way to be protected from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated right away.”

Gov Hogan announces drive-thru, no appointment vaccinations at multiple sites

Residents are able to drive up to the vaccination sites at Six Flags in Prince George s County, Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, Maryland and Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen without an appointment.    “Expanding no-appointment vaccinations is another way we are working to make it as easy as possible for people to get vaccinated,” said Governor Hogan. “Our goal throughout this massive effort remains the same to provide a vaccine to every single Marylander who wants one.”   Drive-thru, no-appointment vaccinations are available at the @SixFlagsDC, Regency Furniture Stadium, & Ripken Stadium.
