pastor very good to have you. you are a one-man band here. you re taking care of a lot. you explain how it s going? first of all thank you for having me it is definitely not a one-man show. there is hundreds, hundreds of volunteers. multiple organizations are helping us on the front lines right there and ground zero and not just at mayfield but other relief efforts all throughout the state of kentucky i just doing what we can to give people some relief after the devastation of these tornadoes on friday night. what has been the greatest demand? what can other people help help you out pastor? right now were just one capable warm, people fed. a master chef is coming to do an amazing job at getting some supplies to give people what little bit of comfort they can get right now. i think were feeding close to
doing to pay more for goods and passing it down to the retail level. that s what hits us. the indications are right now that this inflation will stick around awhile. do you think jerome powell and the federal reserve should hike interest rates now? they should start tapering as he talked about. you mentioned the effect of that should be to raise interest rates slightly. but what will happen eventually is with this kind of inflation, we re going to have to do something. raising interest rates is the obvious way to do it and has been successful in the past. you don t want to do it too much. you don t want to get to the stagflation of the late 70s and early 80s where you had low growth because interest rates were high, double digits and high inflation. it s a double whammy. the best thing is on the fiscal side.
