The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has sharply denounced the Lahore district administration's decision to refuse the Aurat March organisers permission to host a public rally commemoration International Women's Day on March 8, The News International reported.
According to The News International, a patriarchal mindset, depleting economic situation, religious extremism, increasing population, discriminatory traditions and the impact of the climate crisis, all provide a perfect environment for domestic violence in Pakistani society.
Khalid Maqbool made the announcement regarding a sit-in against the LG polls at Press Club Chowk on February 12. Maqbool said they would move their Bahadurabad centre to Press Club Chowk next Sunday.
