LOS BAnOS - The municipal government here declared a suspension of afternoon classes in all levels due to bad weather on Tuesday. In a statement, the municipality said with the stormy weather expected to extend through the rest of day, it had to issue the suspension of classes. "Dahil sa patuloy na malakas na buhos ng ulan ngayong araw, ipinararating ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Los Banos sa pamumuno ni Mayor Ton [Genuino] na suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas mula public at private schools ngayong araw, Sept. 20, 2022 sa bayan ng Los Banos (Because of the continuous heavy rains today, the Municipality of Los Banos led by Mayor Ton is conveying to everyone that classes in all public and private schools in all levels here in Los Banos have been suspended today)," the statement read. Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued a yellow rainfall warning in the province of Laguna along with Cavite, Batangas, and parts of Quezon.
