The United Kingdom has announced a donation of 415,000 AstraZeneca vaccines to Cambodia to contribute with the latter in the containment and prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cambodia is among the first countries to receive 415,000 AstraZeneca vaccines in a bilateral agreement, underlined a news release of the UK Government AKP received this morning, adding that the vaccines are expected to start leaving the UK this week.
“The UK is sending 415,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Cambodia as part of the first batch of the 100 million doses we’ve pledged, to get the poorest parts of the world vaccinated as a matter of urgency. We’re doing this to help the most vulnerable, but also because we know we won’t be safe until everyone is safe,” said British Foreign Secretary H.E. Dominic Raab.
