DUMAGUETE CITY - The city government here is proposing blood donation as an option for violators of traffic rules and other local ordinances to settle their administrative fines. In a media release, the city public information office on Tuesday said the committee on health of the Sangguniang Panglungsod deliberated on the proposed ordinance, authored by Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, for second reading. The proposed ordinance offers the violator to choose to donate blood instead of paying the administrative fine of PHP500 to PHP1,500 provided he or she is medically qualified and physically fit to be a donor.
