Bengaluru, Apr 3 (PTI) Several candidates including Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje filed their nominations on Wednesday for the April 26 Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that ministers may have to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls if recommended. The party will give tickets as per local leaders wishes. The Congress aims to win at least 20 out of 28 seats.

Addressing the media after the meeting, Law minister HK Patil and social welfare minister HC Mahadevappa said the Cabinet had decided to recommend to the Center to constitutionally empower the states to revise the reservation according to the new census and to amend Article 341 of the Constitution for internal reservation. The move is likely to boost the Congress partys chances in the Lok Sabha polls due in a few months.
