EVANSVILLE, Ind. A former controller of Town & Country Ford who stole hundreds of thousands of dollars over several years has been sentenced to prison and ordered to pay restitution.
Robert L. Fowler was found guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana in September after stealing more than $400,000 from his employer for nearly six years.
Fowler will serve two and a half years in prison on three counts of bank fraud and one count of money laundering, all of which he pleaded guilty to in a plea agreement.
After 30 months in prison, Fowler will serve two years of supervised release. The court also ordered him to pay more than $430,000 in restitution and $400 in special assessment fees.
