If you missed yesterday’s post, I’m spending a few days this week focusing on the college postseason, which began yesterday. For those who missed yesterday’s action, this YouTube channel and many like it post “highlights” consisting of the end of each plate appearance. You get a good feel for the flow of the whole game in about 15 minutes. They’re a great resource if you want to follow college baseball and softball but don’t have ESPN+. ARLINGTON, Tx. - After a long and unprecedented hiatus on the diamond, No. 4 Ole Miss made it all worth the wait on Saturday in the second game of the State Farm Classic. The Rebels used a four-run second inning to start fast and held on the rest of the way to knock off the No. 10 TCU Horned Frogs 7-3.
Doug Nikhazy was relieved by Jackson Kimbrell (1-0) after 1.2 innings pitched and faced 10 batters with four strikeouts. Taylor Broadway pitched the final four innings in long relief with 61 pitches and came away with the save. Broadway allowed one hit and struck out five of 13 betters.

Texas A&M Aggies and former Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is back on the gridiron. Over the weekend, Manziel took his first snaps with the new upstart Fan Controlled Football League, which allows for fans to call plays for the teams on the field.
“We’re having a blast,’’ Manziel said, according to 247Sports. “This league is fun, and everybody that’s here is having a good time, so we’ll keep getting better.’’
