AEdras Nelson, a confident, hard-working woman building a life for herself in Stillwater, never thought she would be abused by a man she loved.
She was wrong.
She wasnât assaulted by stranger she met in a bar or even someone she just started dating. It was her fiance, a man she has been with for years â the father of her baby.
The last time it happened, Nelson said she was changing their childâs diaper when he began hitting her from behind, beating her to the point that she was nearly unconscious and sexually assaulting her several times.
