ADDIS ABABA, Aug 31 The capital of the northern Ethiopian region of Tigray was hit by an air strike at around midnight yesterday, Tigray rebels and hospital officials.
The Ethiopian Government has reportedly launched a new airstrike on Tigray region’s capital of Mekelle against rebel targets in the war-battled region on Friday. The airstrike which landed on a residential area killed several children and destroyed many houses and small business centres in the region. This was announced by Tigrai Television via its verified Twitter handle.
