Stumped. In october, aircare rushed little liam young to university of iowa hospitals and clinics. But after he got there, doctors couldnt figure out what he had. Kcrgtv9s Forrest Saunders joins us from the cedar rapids newsroom this morning. Forrest, how is liam doing now . Doctors say hes over the hill and on his way to recovery, but it was a long road to get this far. Liam coded and had to be resuscitated. After, liams heart wasnt getting enough oxygen to the rest of his body. His liver, kidneys and more were shutting down. Liams skin developed bruises and blisters. His fingers and toes started turning black, many had to be amputated. Doctors treated him with blood transfusions, dialysis and many antibiotics.
