Free lifetime pet registration for adopted pound pets
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle has welcomed the NSW Government’s announcement of free lifetime pet registration for people who adopt a rescue pet from a Council pound.
“This is a fantastic initiative that will truly drive local pet adoption,” Mayor Byrne said.
“I commend the NSW Government and I encourage residents to consider adopting a pet from their local pound. Giving animals a second chance on finding their new forever home is so rewarding,” Mayor Byrne added.
The Hills Shire Council is serviced by the Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter, which looks after lost and abandon animals. Animals that cannot be reunited with their owner/s can be adopted.
