Mumbai: Hawkers return to occupy pavements in Dadar
Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association has written to the BMC commissioner and other BMC officials to take action against hawkers
Hawkers back on the pavement in Dadar (West), despite the pandemic restrictions due to the ongoing second wave. This has not gone down well with shopkeepers, who are agitated as they have to follow restrictions and time limit for operating their business.
Irked by this Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association (FRTWA) has written to the BMC commissioner and other BMC officials to take action against these hawkers, stating that this is leading to crowding. They have also pointed out how many of these hawkers not only don t wear masks but also violate physical distancing norms.
