Investigators say the suspect was armed with a rifle and threatened the children in the home. Police have not identified the officer or the suspect. In south carolina, the jury has the case of a white Police Officer accused of shooting and killing a black man. Officer Michael Slager shot and killed walter scott after he ran from a traffic stop in april of 2015. During closing arguments yesterday, slagers defense team told the jury a guilty verdict would send the wrong message to law enforcement. Hermine is tracking up the east coast. This is a live look from Myrtle Beach South Carolina where the storm is bringing strong winds and rain this morning. Hermine made landfall a little more than 24 hours ago on floridas gulf coast. Panhandle crews got busy getting power restored to more than 250 thousand people. Hermine was a category 1 hurricane when it hit the state. The city of tallahassee says it has crews working to get power back on as quickly as possible.
