This year, HawaiiUSA is awarding two additional scholarships for a total of 22 scholarships at $2,000 each, making the total amount of scholarship money to be distributed $44,000. Since 1990, the credit union has awarded 560 scholarships for a total of $843,500.
Aloha Pacific, HawaiʻiUSA, and Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Unions have partnered to gather essential supplies for Maui community members affected by the recent natural disaster, accepting donations of various items at select Oʻahu branch locations.
“Education has always been our priority since we were first created as a credit union for teachers 85 years ago,” said Greg Young, CEO of HawaiiUSA FCU. “These annual scholarships perpetuate our philosophy of supporting education and providing an opportunity for young people to thrive in life.”
