A long Twitter thread posted by the official Hawaii Republican Party account, defending QAnon believers as largely motivated by a sincere and deep love for America, has been met with intense backlash.
The thread, posted on Saturday and deleted the next morning, attempted to paint the baseless conspiracy theory as well-intentioned and blamed the media for hyperbolic coverage of a group the FBI has identified as a potential domestic terror threat.
