An international labor poster exhibit at the Haverhill Public Library has been extended to Monday, July 26. Stephen Lewis’ collection of May Day posters continues Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.- 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Lewis presents posters he has collected from France, Spain, Namibia, Australia, Denmark, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Germany and Liechtenstein, among others.

Haverhill Public Library Ends Most Late Fees Permanently

The Haverhill Public Library is permanently ending late fees on most items to provide equal access for all residents. The library’s Board of Trustees voted to end the late fees, saying the action aims “to provide more equitable access to our collections and provide our citizens with basic, necessary services.” In a statement, library officials said they are also offering amnesty on previous late items in the hope that waiving of fees encourages those patrons with outstanding late fees to return their items and use the Library once more.

Haverhill Public Library Offers Internet Basics Class July 6

For those who have never touched a computer or have limited mouse skills, the Haverhill Public Library is offering an Internet Basics class. The class, Tuesday, July 6, from 2-3 p.m., introduces the basics of having a computer, mouse and keyboard. It will also explore how to find information online and develop web browsing skills. The program, itself, takes place online and links will be sent the day of the program. To register or for more help, call Brendan Kieran at 978-373-1586, ext. 608, or email him at [email protected].
