Body of Waldoboro Fisherman Recovered from Medomak River
Officials have released the name of a fisherman whose body was recovered from the Medomak River on Tuesday.
The Maine Marine Patrol has identified the man as James Guptill, 34, of Waldoboro. His body was recovered from the river at 6:30 Tuesday morning, near Johnson Island. Guptill held a commercial shellfish harvester license, as well as a non-commercial lobster license. His body was taken to the Medical Examiner s office for an autopsy.

A search for the lost fisherman began at around 9:00 Monday night, after Guptill s 16-foot skiff, with an outboard motor, was found by other local fishermen. The boat had run aground near Havener Point, with no one on board.
