NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person who murdered 50-year-old Antonio Flores Garcia at a South Nashville apartment complex.
Metro Police officials say Garcia was shot and killed Jan. 21. He was working on his car in the parking lot of the Haven Apartments complex on Bridgeway Circle. Police say a man approached Garcia, possibly to rob him, and the two began to fight.
The suspect ran away to a dark blue mid-2000s model Nissan Altima with tinted windows and chrome under the windows. But, as the car pulled away, someone inside it opened fire on Garcia, killing him, according to police.
Scaled-back plan for for Haven Apartments proposed near Canvas Stadium
After withdrawing plans for a 54-unit apartment building on Prospect Road following neighbors objections, developers are back with a smaller proposal for Haven Apartments near Colorado State University s Canvas Stadium.
Fort Collins developers Robin and Christian Bachelet have a long-term land lease with the property owner, Colorado State University Research Foundation, or CSURF, to develop the 1.2-acre site at 730 W. Prospect Road, adjacent to their Apex apartments, which opened in 2017.
They withdrew their previous proposal for 54 apartments in an L-shaped building with a 10-foot buffer on the east after neighbors objected and the Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board showed little support for the project.
