Cauvery Water Dispute and Karnataka Bandh on Friday, September 29 LIVE News Updates: Pro-Kannada organisations led by the Kannada Chaluvali group have called for a Karnataka state-wide bandh on Friday, September 29, to protest against the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. The state-wide bandh is expected to see massive participation from various organisations due to which normal life is expected to be disrupted. Private cab and taxi services will be affected while commercial establishments including hotels and restaurants will remain shut in Karnataka on Friday. The Bengaluru police has said that Friday protests in the city will only be held at Freedom Park and organisations can decide to extend support for the bandh on their own and not by force. As part of the protest all major National Highways in Karnataka including some parts of Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway will remain shut between 11am to 1pm tomorrow., Bengaluru News, Times Now
