The new tiger at Ludhiana Zoo, 11-year-old Aman, is all set to meet city residents for the first time on Tuesday. Visit Ludhiana Zoo to see Aman and also the pair of leopards, Sneha and Neetu, from April onwards. The zoo remains open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Ticket costs Rs 20 for visitors between three years and 12 years and Rs 30 for people above the age of 12.
Senior IFS officer S Prabhakaran has taken charge as the new director of Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Mysuru. His immediate challenge is to tackle summer forest fires and ensure adequate water supply to wildlife. Bandipur Tiger Reserve has the highest number of tigers in Karnataka.
