Three major Canadian cities managed to secure spots in a new ranking of the top 10 most liveable places in the world. While Montreal has received high praise on similar lists in the past, it did not make the cut this time around.
A new best cities in the world ranking dropped and a slew of Canadian spots made the cut with Toronto leading the pack. Despite Montreal being a cultural hub with loads of must-try restaurants, festivals galore and a generous dash of joie de vivre, it still managed to fall far behind Toronto's placing.
Canadians may claim Quebec is their least favourite province, but travellers from far and wide would beg to differ. Condé Nast Traveler released its annual Readers' Choice Awards, and two Canadian spots made the top 10 list of best big cities in the world (as in, the whole world) and they both just so happen to be in la belle province.
When it comes to living your best young life, turns out Montreal is one of the finest places in the world. Peek & Cloppenburg ranked the top spots across the globe for Gen Z, and Montreal managed to land seventh on the list.
