Wydad won 1-0 away at relegation threatened Youssoufia Berrechid last night with Ayoub El Kaabi on target.
El Kaabi also scored in the 4-0 demolition of Chiefs during the group stages back in February.
Last night’s result against Berrechid pushed Wydad to 41 points and within a point of leaders Raja Casablanca with a game in hand.
Since their last defeat in April, Wydad have now gone on to win six and draw four in all competitions and have another two games to play in their domestic league against Difaa El Jadidi and Hassania Agadir before they square off against Chiefs.
